As much as I love travelling so much, there really is no place like home. Sydney has some of the most beautiful spots in the world (in my eyes), and it’s my mission now to try and explore as many of them as possible.

Over the weekend I went up to Palm Beach, one of the most Northern parts of the Sydney coastline, and of course, the birth place of Home & Away *sings “you know we belong togetherrrrrr”*.

I hiked up to the top of Barrenjoey Lighthouse which was beautiful. When I say hiked it took about 10 minutes to get to the top, maybe 20 if you’re really strolling. I also wasn’t wearing hiking gear at all, converse all stars and jeans, so if you’re thinking of doing it, don’t fret, its’ very relaxed. The view from the top is just like a postcard, I felt bad for never visiting before! It’s picturesque.

I brought my drone up with me to try and get some great footage, but it was SO windy, that when I flew it just a few metres off the ground, I almost lost control of it, so decided that it was far better to be safe than sorry! Just means that I have to go back another day.

I then wandered backed down the hill, or more accurately, was blown down the hill, and headed to the Boat House for brunch! I had the most amazing smashed avocado on toast (hold the feta), and a double shot almond milk latte. Although there weren’t a huge amount of vegan options on the menu, what I had was amazing, and the location and the vibe were just incredible! I am really looking forward to going back again, maybe to try the lunch menu and have a glass of champagne or two!
